TYPES OF YoBe CLASSES:

Basics: Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals- accuracy of alignment in the postures, building core strength, flexibility, balance, concentration and breath. Based on physical postures, deep breathing, mindfulness and listening to the body. The classes to take after completing the intro series or if you are nursing an injury.

Flow:
A more meditative practice where students will build their basic skills into flowing sequences, with a focus on combining breath with movement. Students will learn to refine postures and move beyond the limitations of the mind.

Prana Flow: Prana Vinyasa Flow is an energetic, creative, full spectrum approach embodying the flow yoga cultivated by Shiva Rea. Students are empowered to experience a rhythmic and energetic approach to vinyasa where the breath initiates and inspires all movement. This approach involves: movement meditation, energetic alignments, stages of asana chosen for their relationship to a ‘peak asana”. Chanting, visualization, chakras, and pranayama are also often integrated within the practice. The fluidity of this practice transforms mechanized movement and thinking into a creative, pulsating wave flow!

Power:
Based on Baron Baptist's series, this is a dynamic flowing sequence built around sun salutations . This empowering practice builds heat, endurance, flexibility, strength and concentration. Many adaptations possible to suit students of varying abilities.

Forrest Yoga: Aimed at healing the body & spirit through anatomically correct movement, breath, and practicing presence with what is. Brings consciousness to every cell, freeing you from whatever clouds your energy & intelligence allowing your spirit to flow and express freely.

CLASS LEVELS:

Level l: Suitable for beginning students, students healing from injuries, and experienced students who enjoy a gentler class. Learn body awareness, the basic postures with proper alignment, yogic breathing techniques, and how to blend breath with movement.

Level ll: Suitable for intermediate and advanced students. Emphasis is on strength, stamina and mindfulness. Pranayama is often incorporated, along with more challenging asanas. Must have a solid foundation of sun salutations and basic standing postures.

All Levels: Students of all levels can enjoy this class.
