Yes! Yoga on Beacon has 10 studio mats available free of charge for students attending class. Mats are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so you're always welcome to bring your own if you prefer.
We also provide a wide variety of props to support your practice at no additional cost, including blocks, straps, blankets, bolsters, myofascial release balls, weights, Pilates balls, and foam rollers. Whether you're joining a gentle class, a strength-based flow, or a specialty workshop, we'll have the tools you need to feel supported and comfortable.

Our beginner-friendly classes include Gentle Yoga (Mondays and Fridays at 9:30 AM), Slow Flow (Tuesdays at 5:45 PM), and Essentials (Saturdays at 10:15 AM). These classes move at a more accessible pace and provide plenty of guidance for newer students. If you're unsure where to start, any of these classes are a great entry point, and our instructors are always happy to help you find the right fit.

Not at all. You don't need to be flexible, strong, balanced, or experienced to practice yoga—you just need to show up. Our teachers work with students of all experience levels and offer modifications and options throughout class so you can practice in a way that works for your body. Flexibility is something that develops over time; it's not a requirement to get started.

Wear whatever feels comfortable and allows you to move freely. We recommend bringing a water bottle and your own yoga mat if you have one. We do have studio mats available free of charge, but they are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. We also provide a variety of props to support your practice.

6. Do I need to reserve my spot in advance?
Most of the time, no. However, our Monday and Wednesday 6:00 PM classes tend to fill up, so we recommend reserving your spot in advance if you're planning to attend those classes. Reserving ahead also helps us ensure we have enough space and props available for everyone.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please do so at least 4 hours before class begins. Cancellations made within 4 hours of class start time are considered late cancellations. Students using class packs will forfeit the class credit, and members will be charged a late cancellation/no-show fee.
