Part II: Inversions Headstand & Shoulder Stand

We turn our attention to the “royalty” of asana: Sirsasana (Headstand) and Sarvangasana (Shoulder Stand). With a focus on cervical safety, shoulder stability, and thoughtful prop use, we’ll unpack the architecture of these postures step by step. Variations and prep shapes will be emphasized so that students build integrity before height. The aim is not to “get up,” but to understand the pose from the ground up.

This series is for curious practitioners ready to deepen their relationship with inversions—cultivating strength, patience, and a practice rooted in awareness rather than achievement.

Part I: Inversions Foundations — Handstand & Forearm Balance

We’ll focus on accessible inversion pathways, specifically Adho Mukha Vrksasana (Handstand) and Pincha Mayurasana (Forearm Balance). Expect intelligent wrist, shoulder, and core preparation; alignment drills; wall work; and progressive entry options. Prep shapes will be treated as complete asana—strong, potent, and worthy in their own right. Whether you kick up or keep one foot grounded, you’ll leave with a clearer blueprint for your inversion practice.

Mandala Made Simple

This two hour teacher training workshop is designed to support yoga teachers in building confidence with mandala sequencing, mirroring, and teaching off the mat. Through guided movement, simple frameworks, and hands-on practice, teachers will learn how to sequence intentionally in all directions, cue clearly without overthinking right and left, and move around the room with ease while staying connected to their students.

This training emphasizes clarity over complexity, repetition over novelty, and presence over performance. Participants will leave with practical tools they can immediately apply to their classes, along with a renewed sense of confidence in their voice, sequencing, and teaching presence.

Restorative Soundbath

Join us for a restorative sound bath and co-create a field of relaxation and inspiration. Treat yourself to your own exquisite presence.

Your guide is Julia Francis, a sound therapy practitioner and vocal coach whose voice, crystal alchemy bowls, gong and drums will bathe you in gentle frequencies as you lie on your mat and practice the art of receiving.

The resonant sonic waves of the sound bath penetrate your body at a cellular level, aligning the energetic centers of your body.

One study published in the Journal of Evidence-Based Integrative Medicine found that an hour-long sound meditation helped people reduce tension, anger, fatigue, anxiety, and depression while increasing a sense of spiritual well-being.

A life-long disciple of the vocal arts, Julia draws on her Celtic heritage, as well as her intensive study with shamanic practitioners and sound healers across the globe to help others understand and perceive the power of the unseen sonic world that surrounds us.

“Julia Francis plays the crystal bowls to penetrate your bones, releasing fear, anxiety, and tension. She took me on a peaceful, joyful journey. Her own voice calls to me – inviting, echoing to be present. She is gifted!” – Sound bath participant
